- npc, plot & threadjack as much as you like!

Setting
It's a musebox we're talking about so the plot won't be too hard to follow or take too much of your time to solve. However there will be stuff going on constantly so the characters won't have time to stand around complaining and creating network systems to chat with each other. The world is inspired by the LOTR films and tv-shows like the Walking Dead. In other words it is road trip/survival game set in a fantasy world. No zombies, but plenty of other dangerous creatures. You can think of it as a RPG. Your character has been summoned from their own world without a warning to join a fellowship and to hunt down a legendary treasure in a world called Tumba Taure. What does the treasure include? Who knows? Maybe a way back home.

Tumba Taure is inspired by Middle Earth, but hints to other fantasy worlds are welcome as well. This should be given, but there won't be any electricity or other modern stuff. Steam punkish devices might be found in some cities but not everywhere. There is nothing strange or unsual about magic and peculiar creatures. Remember that it is not safe to travel outside the cities so be ready to defend yourself (or run for you life). Take care of your group if you want to survive.

The setting is very flexible and you are welcome to come up with cities, places and creatures.

Gameplay
Your character arrives in the world alone, you can pick the location or manner in which they arrive, or if they have been there for some time before meeting up with your other player characters. You can join the fellowship any time you want. You might have heard a voice in your head (the old troll's) telling you that you need to "find the treasure" by "using the map," so you may have some indication of what/who you are looking for upon arrival. After this you are free to do as you like: treasure hunt or ditch your friends or eat the map or dig a hole and die etc. Just remember that your best chances staying alive/going back home rest with the fellowship.

The player characters were given one map that they are to share with their companions. Most locals don't like foreigners so don't expect any help for them. It's a strange place and you wouldn't want to get stranded there all by yourself. Or would you? If you want to drop a character, have them fall behind, leave the fellowship in another way, or you can opt to play out a death plot if you're so inclined.

Everyone is welcome to make posts in the main community or even come up with plots yourself if you like. There are no limits to what the world can hold. Every post should include a goal. They can be everything from "cross the river" to "find a way to defeat the little monkeys eating your food" but please keep them rather simple. The goals are ooc information and the players should work together to reach them. Not all characters are willing to co-operate which might lead to unexpected situations. There will always be consequences in the following post. For example if the fellowship is unable to find shelter for the night they will be attacked by hungry kangaroos or robbed to their underwear in the next post.
